The
Shires Inn nestles in the beautiful village
of Peatling Parva, and
is only a gentle drive from Leicester, Market Harborough
and Rugby. It is set in 3 acres of rolling Leicestershire
countryside and boasts its own babbling brook running
through the garden.
With its own children’s play area and large
outdoor dining area it is the ideal place to unwind.
The Shires is the
perfect setting whatever your occasion, whether you
are organising a family gathering on one of our Sunday
lunches, a lunch time meeting with friends
or simply just a quite night out.
The owner and Head Chef Andy Faulkner and his wife
Phillippa have been running The Shires
since 1997, along with their long serving loyal
full time staff. Since then they have undergone
major refurbishments but still managing to keep
its warm traditional ambience.
In the kitchen they create wonderful
pub classics along with a large specials board with
probably the largest selection of Fresh Fish in the
area. The a la carte menu also has a wide variety
of dishes. There is also a daily changing lunch time
special board. All our food is fresh and locally sourced.
Our famous Carvery
with its oven roasted prime joints, market fresh vegetables
and potatoes along with all the trimmings is available

2 course option available)
Sunday Lunch Thursday – Sunday
evenings
Monday Evening is our Authentic
Curry buffet. Help yourself as often
as you like as much as you like. Our full menu is
also available on this evening.
